University of Alberta International (UAI) Education Abroad supports the development and delivery of impactful international experiences, partnerships and opportunities that foster global citizenship for students, faculty and staff.

Educational travel has grown year over year since pandemic travel restrictions were lifted roughly two years ago. The global movement toward equity, diversity and inclusion, also suggests the goal to welcome more students from under-represented segments.

Project:

Go Abroad Campaign 2024

Details:

Working in collaboration with KLK Creative and Pulp Studios, we developed a print and digital marketing campaign that encourages a diverse student audience to visualize themselves embarking on a Go Abroad adventure.

We designed a wordmark for the campaign - Go Abroad - Explore. Learn. Grow. - and developed a creative approach that would feature a variety of comic-style student characters within a photographic setting of world destinations are included in the Go Abroad Program.

Together with Pulp Studio, we created a suite of Illustrated characters from a variety of cultures and demographics that would appear throughout the various print and digital media produced, and be animated in the videos.

Deliverables:

Three one-minute animated videos, posters, postcards, social media ads, on-campus SUTV and LRT ads, website graphics, and event materials (pull-up banners, tablecloth)

Additional designed projects:

Signage, posters, brochures, wall decals, digital & print ads, pull-up displays, Study Abroad campaigns.

Strategic Plan - Charting New Paths Together: A Strategic Roadmap for Pharmacy Excellence

Details:

Following the look of previously designed material for the Faculty and remaining on-brand, we designed a simple ‘roadmap’ graphic, representing the title of the Strategic Plan, which runs from the cover on through the booklet. Photography and writing was supplied by the client.

Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic Fall Updates

Details:

The sports medicine clinic at the Saville Community Sports Centre had changed their name from the Green and Gold Clinic to the Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic - Saville. The University of Alberta needed to update old collateral as well as the website as customers couldn’t find them at the Saville location. Green and Gold had no name recognition for customers. Those arriving at the Saville location were asking the front desk where the Glen Sather was. Changing the name addresses this issue, but we need collateral and signage updated to match. Students didn’t know that these services are available to them and can be claimed under their health coverage.

Requirements:

Update existing collateral to reflect names changes. Create directional signage for the Saville location. Develop some new marketing materials.

Deliverables:

Pillar sign, new small digital signs, clinic door vinyl wrap, entryway hall vinyl wrap/ decal, map decal, elevator decal, SUTV ads, updated postcard, updated pull-up signage.
