University of Alberta International (UAI) Education Abroad supports
the development and delivery of impactful international experiences,
partnerships and opportunities that foster global citizenship for
students, faculty and staff.
Educational travel has grown year over year since pandemic travel
restrictions were lifted roughly two years ago. The global movement
toward equity, diversity and inclusion, also suggests the goal to
welcome more students from under-represented segments.
Project:
Go Abroad Campaign 2024
Details:
Working in collaboration with KLK Creative and Pulp Studios,
we developed a print and digital marketing campaign that encourages
a diverse student audience to visualize themselves embarking on a Go
Abroad adventure.
We designed a wordmark for the campaign - Go Abroad - Explore.
Learn. Grow. - and developed a creative approach that would feature a
variety of comic-style student characters within a photographic setting
of world destinations are included in the Go Abroad Program.
Together with Pulp Studio, we created a suite of Illustrated characters
from a variety of cultures and demographics that would appear
throughout the various print and digital media produced, and be
animated in the videos.
Deliverables:
Three one-minute animated videos, posters, postcards,
social media ads, on-campus SUTV and LRT ads, website graphics, and
event materials (pull-up banners, tablecloth)

Signage, posters, brochures, wall decals, digital & print ads, pull-up displays, Study Abroad campaigns.
